About Me & My Teaching Approach
I am an ICT lecturer and technology professional with over 18 years of experience in the IT industry, specialising in areas including Enterprise Architecture, Digital Transformation, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Automation.

Throughout my professional career, I have held senior technical and leadership positions, including Head of Department & Senior Solutions Architect at Fortude, as well as roles at Pearson Lanka, Virtusa and MillenniumIT. My academic qualifications include an M.Sc. in Business Information Technology and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Information Technology from Middlesex University, together with Microsoft and Oracle professional certifications.

I teach G.C.E. A/L ICT in English Medium, with a strong emphasis on helping students develop a genuine understanding of ICT concepts rather than simply memorising material for the examination.

My Teaching Style
My approach is concept-based, structured and exam-focused. I believe that when a student properly understands why and how something works, answering examination questions becomes much easier.

Lessons therefore begin by building a clear understanding of each topic, using simple explanations, practical examples, diagrams and real-world applications wherever appropriate. Once the underlying concepts are established, we progressively connect them to the requirements of the A/L examination.

Particular attention is given to:

Complete syllabus coverage, taught systematically and at a pace students can follow.
Past examination paper discussions to understand question patterns, marking expectations and how to construct strong answers.
High-quality study material for each module, including structured notes, summaries, diagrams and practice questions.
Regular revision and reinforcement so that earlier concepts are not forgotten as students progress through the syllabus.
Exam-oriented guidance aimed at developing both subject knowledge and effective examination technique.
My extensive industry experience also enables me to explain many ICT concepts using real-world technology examples, helping students understand that what they learn for A/L ICT is not merely theory—it forms the foundation of technologies and systems used in the professional world.

What I Want My Students to Achieve
My objective is not simply to complete the syllabus. I want students to become confident in ICT, understand the subject clearly, and be able to approach examination questions logically and independently.

For students who are prepared to work consistently, my classes are designed with a clear goal: to give them the knowledge, understanding, practice and examination skills needed to aim confidently for an A Grade in A/L ICT.
